Scope of Analysis

Our investigation covered both external and internal examinations, with special attention to the materials used for cathodes, anodes, and electrolyte composition. This work took place in our in-house laboratory, where we carefully opened the cells and employed advanced analytical methods to achieve a thorough evaluation.

  • Cell Performance: Rigorous testing measured capacity, energy density, and cycle life, establishing reference points for automotive use.
  • Cell Exterior: We reviewed physical structure, casing materials, and built-in safety features, noting differences in thermal management and durability.
  • Cell Interior: Through disassembly, we assessed the internal layout, electrode design, separator quality, and electrolyte blend.
  • Safety Features: We identified and examined key safety mechanisms like pressure relief vents and shutdown separators to determine their effectiveness.
  • Microstructure and Material Analysis: Employing advanced microscopy and spectroscopy, we studied the electrodes’ and current collectors’ microstructure as well as active materials’ purity and composition.
