Chem4Batteries recently provided end-to-end technical support for a 100 Ah prismatic cell case design. We produced detailed engineering drawings for the safety valve, ensuring compliance with IEC 62133 and UL 1642 standards, and specified precise dimensional tolerances to facilitate high-yield prototype manufacturing in Asia. Material selection for cell housing components was optimized for mechanical robustness and chemical compatibility. By standardising tab dimensions and terminal designs across multiple product variants, we reduced unique part counts and streamlined the bill of materials, resulting in simplified assembly and improved manufacturability. Finite element analysis was conducted to verify structural integrity under internal pressure events and external mechanical abuse conditions. This project reflects Chem4Batteries’ practical, standards-focused approach to efficient battery cell manufacturing and supplier coordination, emphasizing risk mitigation and process scalability through advanced engineering methodologies.
